Sunwaves

I very much like how the sun and sky turned out on this one, especially the somewhat layered effect one the various sun rays.

I was thinking of making the tree more complex, but it’s probably best I kept the sun as the most patterned object, looking back.

Color choice was supossed to create a feeling of scorching heat, but I don’t know if the lack of more subdued colors ruins the depth. But I guess I”m okay with that if that’s the case.

Created in Flash, approximately 20 layers.

As the title implies, this image was inspired by MGMT’s Electric Feel. Well, it was actually inspired by the remix of that song by Justice, but it’s all similar enough.

Regardless, I really like how the Eel itself turned out, especially it’s semi-depth and body curvature. The brilliant color effects are also well done in my opinion, although they were very intricate and took many steps to accomplish.

Although I had used Photoshop prior to creating this image, this is the earliest image I have created which I can find and is done well enough to be put in my portfolio. I’m not sure how obvious it is, but I made this on a kinda crummy day.

The name for it I actually just created right now, in all honesty. I’m not very good at naming my works.

One of my earliest started projects, Showdown was created for the purpose of being entered in my school’s talent show.

It is my first (completed) animation with Slick, and involves the character battling evil spirits as well as his evil counterpart, cleverly named Evil Slick.

Although the graphics are very simple, the action is fast-paced and yet slightly synched to the music, a quality I attempt to keep in most of my animations.

As seen in the credits, the actual movie’s music, as well as the credits music, were created by a user on Newgrounds known as cornandbeans.

However, the intro music was actually created by a band known as the Fratellis. The song is “Flathead.”

Everything else was created by me.
